Brushes, Blushes, and Highlighters! Oh my!

Hey there sweet pea! For this Try It Tuesday I, Posh, am bringing you guys a review on some of Wet n’ Wild’s new brushes and face powders.   For the past couple weeks I’ve been trying out the new Wet n’ Wild brushes, specifically the flat top, large eye shadow, and small concealer brushes.

Sorry the Flat top brush is dirty I literally can’t stop using it
  1. I actually really like the flat top brush for applying foundation, I use it to buff the product into my skin and I’m left with a seemingly cake free layer of foundation. As for the claim that this brush doesn’t soak up foundation I disagree. If you use this brush everyday it will start to soak up your foundation, on the bright side this bush is easy to clean and it’s just as soft afterwards.
  2. The large eye shadow works exactly how it’s supposed to, it’s best use is packing shadow onto the lid or beneath the brow bone. This brush is pretty dense so it can really grab onto product and place it with minimal fall out (of course this kind of depends on the shadow).
  3. While I can’t attest to the small concealing brushes concealing power I do really like this brush for applying cream shadow onto the lid. I have a few of the ELF smudge pots and the opening to those pots is pretty small and I always end up with product under my nail. Using this brush though I avoid that and I can easily blend the color out on my lid with my finger.

I highly recommend these brushes not only because they’re inexpensive (the smaller brushes are only .99 cents! The larger one is $2.99) but they’re really good quality. They’re easy to clean and they don’t shed at all (that I’ve noticed), and they stay nice and pink after they’re cleaned. These brushes also feature a indention in the handle to make them more comfortable to hold.

Now let’s talk about some face powders!IMG_5110

The coloricon blushes are raved about within the beauty community on Youtube, even Punk recommended them because she loves her Pearlescent Pink. These blushes have been around for what seems like forever, recently they’ve reformulated them. I got the shade Rose Champagne because it’s a deeper blush color which i tend towards on an everyday bases. This shade isn’t a pure matte finish, it pulls more satin than anything.

The new, limited edition, Geometric Highlighting Powder is a great natural highlighter, I have the color “Where The Dreamers Go” it’s the icy-ist color between the three offered. I use this powder on the tops of my cheeks and above my brows to add some glow to my otherwise matte face. I still add a more intense highlight to the top of my cheekbones though because this is more subtle than I usually prefer.

All in all I would highly recommend these products for anyone whether you have a full and intense makeup collection or you’re just starting up.
