Hi there! Today I’m going to give you a quick review of the Too Faced Hangover RX Primer that I recently picked up from Ulta.Packaging: I actually really enjoy liquid products that are in this sort of squeeze tube because it’s sanitary and it makes it easy to get all of the product out of the package. The decoration on the bottle is cute too but honestly the product inside will ALWAYS be more important than the look of the bottle.
Claims: This product claims to boost skins radiance, promote elasticity, and help hydrate while keeping makeup flawless. I definitely agree that this primer is hydrating and my skin has been LOVING that part lately because the air has been so dry and cold for the past month. As for boosting radiance and elasticity I don’t really notice a difference but I might not be the target audience considering that I’m only 19. I don’t think this primer keeps my makeup on any longer than any other primer so I don’t have any complaints about the lasting power this product gives.
Price: This product costs $32 for 1.35 fl oz. or approx. 4 cents per fl. oz. This is pretty much on par with most of NYX’s primers which is what I’ve been reaching for lately (also you can usually pick those up for BOGO 50% off).
Consistency: This primer has a lotion feel and soaks into the skin easily. It does leave the skin a little tacky but I like to think that helps my foundation last longer because it has something to stick to.
Smell: Y’all. This primer smells bad. In general I like the smell of coconuts so I don’t think that’s the issue but I don’t want to reach for this product because I can smell it as I apply it. As I’m writing this post I applied a little to the back of my had to double check my opinions and I’m trying not to wave my hand around to avoid wafting the scent anymore than I have to. I know this primer used to be really popular on YouTube and I don’t remember anyone talking about the scent of this product so maybe my nose is just too sensitive or I got an older one?
In conclusion, I like this primer and I think I’m going to use up this bottle but I don’t think I would repurchase because the scent it a little too overwhelming for me.
Have you tried this primer? Do you like the scent?
